October Preview

Looking ahead to October, you want to be sure to plan for some of the events taking place.
One of our biggest events is the Puma Prowl  ran on Oct. 7th.  The collection date for Puma Prowl, so that students will turn in all the checks or cash money raised is Oct. 19th.  The early release scheduled for Oct. 18th will not occur (since the day is now going to be a two-hour delay).  Therefore, October 18th Polenta will have school from 10:20 am (first bell) to 3:45 (dismissal procedures begin).  In addition, We are having a Red Cross Blood Drive on Oct. 18th (3:00 - 7:30 pm), which will be held in the cafeteria and parking is around back.  October 24th begins our Red Ribbon week, so be on the look out for a some more information about spirit themes for each day of that week.

• We will add 10 minutes to the instructional day to make up for weather days. Polenta will begin dismissal at 3:55pm effective Oct. 24, 2016.

Oct. 28th marks the end of the first quarter.  October 31st will no longer be a workday, so all students will attend school on October 31st.
